Clear rules for a happy workshop
Terms of Use
These terms explain how families may use Talking Robot, including its creative play, AI conversations, and rechargeable battery credits.
Last updated: 15 August 2026
A parent or legal guardian should review these terms and supervise use of Talking Robot by a child.
1. Who these terms are for
Talking Robot is operated by Kenzi.ai (referred to as “Kenzi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or allowing a child to use the app, the adult responsible for that use agrees to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
The app is designed for children to use with age-appropriate parent or guardian involvement. A child must not make a purchase or change parent-controlled settings without permission from a parent or guardian.
2. What Talking Robot provides
Talking Robot is a creative entertainment game. Children can assemble a robot from interchangeable parts, enjoy offline animations and reactions, and—when battery credit is available—speak with an AI-generated robot character.
AI replies are generated automatically and may occasionally misunderstand speech, make a factual mistake, or produce an unexpected response. Talking Robot is not a person, teacher, therapist, medical service, emergency service, or source of professional advice.
3. Safe and acceptable use
Families may use the app only for personal, non-commercial entertainment and in accordance with applicable law. Do not attempt to bypass safety controls, probe the service for harmful content, interfere with its operation, reverse engineer protected components, or use automated systems to overload it.
If the app raises a worrying subject or a child feels uncomfortable, stop the conversation and speak with a trusted adult. For an immediate risk or emergency, contact local emergency services; do not rely on Talking Robot.
4. Battery credits and purchases
Building, celebrations, movement, and certain reactions are available without an AI conversation charge. AI conversations consume virtual battery credit based on the cost of processing the request and response.
Battery products are consumable digital items. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to the store’s billing, family controls, refund rules, and terms. Battery credit has no cash value, cannot be transferred between unrelated installations, and cannot be exchanged outside the app except where required by law.
A battery indicator may display a rounded percentage for child-friendly use. Parent-facing purchase information may show more precise product and balance details.
5. Privacy and voice processing
The app does not require a child account. When the microphone is used, audio is transmitted securely for speech recognition and AI response generation. Kenzi does not save the recording to its database or file storage. Please read the Privacy Policy for the data we do process and the limited temporary memory used for conversational continuity.
6. Intellectual property
Talking Robot, its robot characters, visual assets, animations, sounds, software, branding, and written content are owned by or licensed to Kenzi and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant only a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended personal purpose.
A child’s choice of robot parts does not transfer ownership of the underlying artwork or software. Families retain rights in content they independently own and provide, subject to the limited processing needed to operate the requested feature.
7. Availability and changes
We may improve, update, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain safety, security, legal compliance, or product quality. AI and speech services depend on internet connectivity and third-party infrastructure and may sometimes be unavailable.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be presented through the app or website when appropriate. Continued use after an update means the responsible adult accepts the revised terms, subject to mandatory consumer rights.
8. Disclaimers and responsibility
We work to provide a safe, reliable, enjoyable experience, but no software or automated moderation system can be guaranteed to be error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kenzi is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use or inability to use the app. Parents and guardians remain responsible for age-appropriate supervision, device settings, and purchase controls.
9. Applicable law
These terms are interpreted under the applicable laws governing Kenzi and the service, while preserving any mandatory consumer protections available where the family lives. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it fairly.
